Best Value Lunch Menus in Westminster
There’s no doubt that Westminster is one of the most popular destinations for tourists but, as the heart of the capital, it’s also home to the UK’s parliamentary hub – from MPs and lobbyists to law firms and the diplomatic community.
Westminster is a thriving, bustling destination with a plethora of fantastic sights – but what about the food? Well, it’s actually a real hidden gem for foodies, with an array of fantastic restaurants offering some of the best food in central London. So, when you’ve finished your visit to Westminster Abbey and the changing of the guards at Horse Guards Parade, or perhaps you’re looking to host a business lunch to impress – where do you go?
Luckily for you, we’re in the know – here are our top 5 best value fine dining lunches in and around Westminster:
1. The Pem – Westminster
The Pem, Conrad London St. James, 22-28 Broadway, Westminster, London SW1H 0BH
It goes without saying that The Pem is our number one choice. And if you think we’re being biased, you don’t have to take our word for it – the Financial Times has described Chef Sally Abé’s food as “some of the best in town”, whilst SquareMeal says we have “one of the most beautiful dining rooms in London”. So, if you’re looking for somewhere that offers exceptional value in a stunning setting – for business or pleasure – and just a stone’s throw from some of London’s most iconic landmarks, then The Pem is your go-to. Our lunch menu is just as mouthwatering as our a la carte and tasting menus, offering that signature Sally Abé flair with an even more attractive price at 2 courses for £30 or 3 courses for £40. Sally has taken everything The Pem is about – the very best of British – and distilled it into an inventive menu that showcases her passion for local and seasonal produce.
2. The Cinnamon Club – Westminster
The Cinnamon Club, Old Westminster Library, Great Smith St, London SW1P 3BU
The Cinnamon Club is a Westminster stalwart, having opened over twenty years ago under the expert eye of Chef Vivek Singh in the Grade II listed Old Westminster Library. Combining gorgeous Indian flavours with western fine dining, with an emphasis on game and fish, the lunch menu is priced at 2 courses for £30 or 3 courses for £35, and if bold, robust flavours combined with rich history is your thing, you’ll love The Cinnamon Club.
3. Lorne – Victoria
Lorne, 76 Wilton Rd, Pimlico, London SW1V 1DE
We love a female restaurateur here at The Pem, so we’re big fans of Katie Exton’s restaurant, Lorne. Think calming, relaxed surroundings with delicious, seasonal British and European dishes that are skilfully cooked and served with a modern twist. The set menu comes in at 2 courses for £29 or 3 courses for £34, and Katie is an ex-River Café sommelier, so you can rest assured the wine list is just as fabulous.
4. Wiltons – St James’s
55 Jermyn St, St. James’s, London SW1Y 6LX
If you’re looking for history, you can’t go wrong with Wiltons – originally a shellfish-mongers opened by George William Wilton in 1742, the old-school restaurant is now a much-loved destination for politicians and dignitaries over 280 years later. Naturally, there’s a focus on beautiful fish and seafood, with 2 courses on the seasonal menu coming in at £39.95 and 3 courses for £47.95.
5. Osteria dell’Angolo – Westminster
Osteria dell’Angolo, 47 Marsham St, London SW1P 3DR
Popular with the Westminster crowd who appreciate subtle background noise for private conversations, Osteria Dell’Angolo blends rustic Italian recipes with fresh artisan produce. The set lunch menu features regional dishes, priced at £24.50 for 2 courses or £29.50 for 3, accompanied by an approachable wine list and a rustic, pared back dining room.
