Join us for a memorable Thanksgiving feast at the Pem
Join us on the evening of Thursday the 28th of November, as we celebrate Thanksgiving with a menu that celebrates this time-honoured tradition.
A Thanksgiving Tradition with a Modern British Twist
Thanksgiving, celebrated predominantly in the United States, it is a time for expressing gratitude and gathering with family and friends. The holiday dates back to 1621, when the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag people came together to celebrate a successful harvest. Today, Thanksgiving is a day for reflecting on blessings, enjoying time with loved ones, and engaging in acts of kindness and giving back to those in need.
An Exquisite Thanksgiving Menu Curated by Chef Sally Abé
To mark this occasion, Sally Abé has crafted a Thanksgiving menu that blends traditional flavours with the very best British seasonal produce. It begins with canapés, followed by a rich Sweetcorn and Clam Chowder, paired with dressed white crab meat and Exmoor caviar. The Buttermilk & Jalapeño Cornbread served with maple syrup butter adds a touch of warmth. The centrepiece, is a Maple Roast Cumbrian Turkey, complemented by creamed green beans, wild mushrooms, roast pumpkin, Brussels sprouts with smoked chestnut, and indulgent duck fat Hasselback potatoes. For dessert, guests will be treated to a dessert synonymous with Thanksgiving, Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream with shortbread and hazelnut, and a decadent Pecan Tartlet to finish.
